The Dargah
is committed to saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, born in Badayun (Uttar Pradesh)
in 1238.He took off to Delhi where he settled in Ghiyaspur and there he started
to instruct people that worship, peace, and love can empower them to understand
the teachings of their religion.He also teached them that we should keep
nursing people irrespective of our religion, cast and perception. By his teachings and principles everyone was
influenced and eventually he fascinated many followers towards himself. It was
3rd April 1325 when he passed away and his shrine was developed by
Muhammad Tughlaq who was from Tughlaq dynasty and was also a follower of Hazrat
Nizamuddin.
