Jammu and Kashmir, one of the celebrated puts on earth for different evident reasons both in Jammu Kashmir as well as Ladakh. The state is not acclaimed for tourism in common line regions only but nowadays also gaining lot of boost in newly emerging border tourism. It mainly includes Chamliyal and Suchetgarh regions located in the Jammu region of the state. Suchetgarh border is situated approx. 29 kms while Chamliyal (located in samba district) is at a distance of 55 kms from Jammu.
Among these two places Suchetgarh is more renowned as state tourism division developed it as a tourism spot. The Suchetgarh border post is approx. 29 kms away from principle Jammu. On the way to the border various old structures can be seen in transit dating back to pre-independence era. Suchetgarh post filled in as the course to Sialkot among the pre-segment time which is only 11kms from the post. On the opposite side of the post lies a tremendous banyan tree, which is said to be 100 years old. Half of it is Indian and half is Pakistani. Just next to the post is an old Hindu sanctuary. This is said to be unique Ragunath temple which was later shifted to Jammu. Across the temple there is a Muslim shrine known as Baba Neeli Tali Walla and recently it has been redesigned.
Like Srinagar-Muzaffarabad and Poonch-Rawlakote course, Jammu-Sialkot course can be opened for movement. This has the capability of turning into the most prominent course of all and will also boost cross border tourism in both the countries.
How to reach Suchetgarh border.
From Jammu city, it will take approx... 45 minutes-1 hour to reach Suchetgarh train.
